The ice maker is a refrigeration machine that generates ice by cooling water through an evaporator using the refrigerant in the refrigeration system. Some faults are inevitable during use and need to be handled in a timely manner to ensure its normal operation.
Ice machine fault analysis
1. Cut the process pipe, and no refrigerant is discharged, or there are oil marks on the pipe joints by visual inspection or hand touch, which can be judged as a refrigeration system leak.
2. Cut the process pipe, and refrigerant is discharged, which can be judged as a dirty refrigeration system blockage.
3. The compressor is broken (the high-pressure pipe is not exhausted).
4. During the refrigeration process of the ice maker, there is a large airflow sound inside the evaporator, which can be judged as a de-icing solenoid valve cross-flow.
5. The refrigeration system of the ice maker has a slight leak, and a small amount of refrigerant is discharged after cutting the process pipe.
Ice making machine repair method
1. Re-weld the process pipe and pressurize to check for leaks. Find the leak and re-weld it, then re-vacuum and add liquid.
2. Re-weld the process pipe and find the dirty blockage, which is usually at the inlet of the capillary. Remove it and re-add liquid.
3. Replace the compressor.
4. Force the machine to defrost. During the defrosting process, tap the valve body. If it is caused by small impurities, it can generally be removed. If not, replace the valve body.
5. Re-weld the process pipe and pressurize to check for leaks. Find the leak and re-weld it, then re-vacuum and add liquid.
